Now, one of the men accused of the violent break-in in Tamworth on the weekend has been granted bail in court.
Jai Lake, 20, is facing one charge of aggravated break-and-enter and committing a serious indictable offence.
Police allege Lake, and co-accused 21-year-old Aaron Creighton, broke into an Anne Street home in South Tamworth just before midnight on Friday and struck a female occupant.

It's the police case the pair knew the woman and it was a domestic-violence related incident. The woman was injured, police allege. The pair were arrested in South Tamworth after a foot pursuit.
Magistrate Julie Soars found there was a risk of Lake committing a serious offence; and endangering the safety of victims, but she said bail conditions could be put in place to mitigate the risk.
She issued a warning in court that he must comply with the conditions including to live with a court-approved person in Tamworth; not contact his co-accused; answer the door for a curfew enforcement check; not go near or contact any witness in the case; stay out of trouble and not commit offences.
He's also banned from drinking alcohol or taking drugs.
Creighton faces the same charge, which police allege is domestic violence-related.
He also appeared in court on Monday but was denied bail by magistrate Peter Thompson.
The pair will return to court in mid-July.
