Brodie Keith Jackson, aged 26, appeared in Tamworth Local Court on Monday, facing one allegation of aggravated enter dwelling with intent knowing people are inside.
According to court documents, his 32-year-old co-accused Michael Hayes did not appear in person in court on Monday.
Hayes faces three allegations including the aggravated enter dwelling charge and two counts of common assault.

The pair were not required to enter pleas to the charges but magistrate Julie Soars ordered police to compile the evidence brief into the charges.
She ordered the prosecution to serve it on the pair's solicitors before the cases return to court in mid-July.
Both had bail conditions continued.
If convicted of the offence, the pair face a maximum penalty of 10 years' imprisonment.
The pair were arrested shortly after police swarmed a fast food restaurant off Ringers Road in South Tamworth.
Police allege the men stormed the Morilla Street home about 3.30pm on April 21 and assaulted the 33-year-old man and his partner, a 37-year-old woman, who were inside at the time. They allegedly demanded money and then fled.
Oxley police were alerted and homed in on two suspects at McDonalds off Ringers Road in South Tamworth not long after.
They were arrested and charged and have been on bail since.
Police allege the pair are linked to an outlaw motorcycle gang (OMCG) in Tamworth, and it was a targeted incident.
