Troy Gregory Lance Norman was denied bail in Tamworth Local Court on Monday after an alleged altercation in Edward Street that continued to Domino's off Bridge Street.
Between 5.30pm and 6.30pm on Friday, police will allege Norman confronted the employee when he went to make a delivery in Edward Street.
"The victim was approached by the offender and threatened, and he is alleged to have made the driver attend the business premises in West Tamworth where the victim was able to alert management," Oxley Detective Acting Inspector Jason Darcy said.

"Police were called and a 37-year-old man was arrested by officers across the road at a fast food restaurant in Phillip Street."
Norman faces charges of being armed with intent to commit an indictable offence; taking or detaining a person with intent to obtain an advantage; and resisting police.
He was denied bail in an out-of-sessions bail hearing on Saturday, less than 24 hours after his arrest near West McDonalds in Phillip Street on Friday night.
On Monday in court, magistrate Peter Thompson denied bail again, ordering him to stay in custody. Norman was not required to enter pleas to the three allegations.
He will return to court in mid-July after police have served a brief of evidence in the case.
