The elderly passenger of the ute died at the scene near Niangala, on the afternoon of December 29, last year.
Oxley detectives have been piecing together the circumstances surrounding the fatal crash, but have confirmed the matter is still under investigation.
Emergency services had rushed to Niangala Road about 1.45pm on the day of the accident after reports of a single vehicle crash.

At the scene, they found an 89-year-old man, who was a passenger in a Holden Rodeo ute, had died.
A 16-year-old male, who police were told was driving, was injured in the crash, along with another male passenger.
They were taken to Tamworth hospital by ambulance for chest and arm injuries.
Police said the 16-year-old underwent mandatory testing in hospital and had a learner's licence that was issues in Queensland.
Investigations are continuing, and no charges have been laid.
