Less than an hour and a half after gates opening, some stalls were already sold out with around 2000 people having entered.

President of the Currabubula Public School P&C Association Veronica Filby said by that point it was already the biggest markets ever.

"So far it is amazing, we have seen more people than we have ever seen at our markets with close to 2000 people already through the gates," she said.

"We've got 85 stallholders here so everyone is busy, it's been fantastic and this is bigger than we've ever seen before."

More than $5000 had been raised by 11:30am, which will go towards a number of programs at the school including excursions.

Interest was being shared across different types of stalls with food, clothing, arts, steel and metalwork, jewellery, housing and garden products all available.

Stallholders came from all directions, with some making their way from as far west as Coonamble, as north as Armidale and as south as the Hunter Valley.

Somerton's Anna Charlton, who runs Anna Kate Designs, was thrilled to be part of the day and said it had been a long time since attending an event of that size.

"This is our first market since the start of 2019, then COVID-19 happened, but it's great to be back out and it's perfect weather and there's just been a steady stream of cars all morning," she said.

"So yes we're very excited to be here."
