The Kangaroos re-entered the AFL North West women's competition this year after sitting out the 2020 season.
The Swans and Kangaroos will meet for the first time since 2019 on Saturday but both sides have changed dramatically since then.
The Kangaroos blooded seven debutantes in their round one clash and a few more in round two.
"We're feeling pretty optimistic. We've got a few new people on the paddock," Kangaroos' Savannah Shepherd said.
"We've got new players in both the men's and women's sides so we'll get out there, have a go and see where we land."
At the pre-season Crossroads Cup in Narrabri, the Swans had 13 new players on the paddock.
One of them being Taylor Skelton who comes from a basketball background.
She's tried out a range of positions during her short time playing AFL and admitted to feeling a bit tense leading into the weekend.
"I'm a little bit nervous actually," she said.
"Everyone's talking about it. I've been thinking 'I've gotta make sure I play really well'."
The women will kick off the day at 12pm followed by the men at 2pm.
The men's game will see the unbeaten Swans take on an improved Kangaroos outfit who beat the Gunnedah Bulldogs in round one.
The Swans beat a fast-finishing New England side last week while the Roos went down to Inverell.
