A string of houses and a business were targeted in and around Goonoo Goonoo Road, Bilkurra Street, Garden Street and other streets nearby in South Tamworth.
Oxley Detective Acting Inspector Jason Darcy confirmed several residents were home at the time of the offences, which mostly occurred after midnight and into the early hours of Tuesday.
"Last month we had a spike in property crime and that resulted in significant arrests by the Oxley Proactive Crime Team," he said.

"That trend has now recommenced from what we can see overnight with these steal from motor vehicle and break-and-enter offences."
Valuables including wallets and other goods were stolen.
"We believe there was group of young juveniles behind the offending on Monday night and they have been described as being young teenagers, Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander in appearance, and were wearing dark-coloured clothing, including dark-coloured hooded jumpers," Detective Darcy said.
He said some of the offenders were wearing masks and gloves at the time.
"We believe these offenders were all on foot and we're appealing for members of the public to check any CCTV they might have at home in those areas for any suspicious activity, or any groups seen in the streets," Detective Darcy said.
"We ask local residents to be vigilant, secure their valuables and never leave them in an unlocked area or car, and lock up to target-harden their premises."
Anyone with information on the break-ins or who saw suspicious activity is urged to contact Tamworth police on 6768 2999.
