Well, the future of the club was on full display at Wolseley Oval as the Roos defeated the reigning premiers 11.17 (83) to 6.14 (50).
Leading the junior brigade was Jack Dadd who kicked six goals in being named Tamworth's best for the day.
"All the young guys were probably the pick of the players. Everyone under 21 got in my best players - they all played their role," Mitchell said.

The co-coach said it was a reflection of the work put in by the group.
"The juniors have been flocking to training and, obviously, that showed on the weekend," Mitchell said.
Both the Bulldogs and the Kangaroos were light for numbers on Saturday which saw the sides play 16-a-side.
The first two quarters were tight with the Kangaroos turning around a two-point deficit at quarter-time to a four-point lead at the main break.
The Roos then kicked six goals to one in the second half to score the 33-point win.
Tamworth travel to Inverell next week with Mitchell hopeful they'll have a full complement of players.

In the final match of the round, Moree-Narrabri beat the New England Nomads 14.9 (93) to 12.14 (86).
