A TEENAGE boy who allegedly threatened the residents of a home with a knife during a break-in has been charged.

Police responded to reports a teenager had broken into a home on Droulbalgie Street in Narrabri, just after 12am on Saturday.
Officers allege a man and women inside the home were woken and confronted by the intruder, who threatened them with a knife.
Police allege the boy demanded the man's phone and wallet before running from the building.

Following inquiries, police used a search warrant at a unit on Ugoa Street, during which officers seized items of clothing and a kitchen knife.
About 12.15pm on Saturday, police arrested a 16-year-old boy on Tibbereena Street.
He was taken to Narrabri Police Station and charged with aggravated break, enter and steal, and intimidation.
He appeared before a children's court on Monday where he was granted conditional bail to reappear before a children's court later this month.
