Save the children walk
Would you like to join Save the Children Australias Tamworth Branch on their annual fundraising Riverside Walk?
When: Sunday April 18 at 2pm
Meet Bicentennial Park (opp. council building)
Walk or stroll around the riverside and purchase afternoon tea at Hopscotch as your reward.
Everyone is welcome to join our team. You can seek sponsors or make a tax deductible donation.
Save the Children was founded in 1919 by Australian teacher, Eglantyne Jebb. Its vision seeks A world in which every child attains the right to survival, protection, development and participation.
Just $20 will feed a malnourished child for 2 weeks and $80 could provide 4,800 people with clean, safe drinking water.
As well as assisting humanitarian emergencies impacting children anywhere in the world, Save the Children has initiated parenting programs and early childhood education in urban and remote communities.

Tamworth RSL Sub-Branch meeting
The Tamworth RSL Sub-Branch April meeting will be held on April 18 from 10.30am at Wests' Diggers Club in Kable Avenue, Tamworth.

Association of Independent Retirees monthly meeting
The monthly meeting will be held on April 20 at 10am at St Andrews Room, Uniting Church (next to Tamworth Station).
Our organisation makes representation to governments to further the interests of independent retirees. Our meeting starts at 10am with our guest speaker, councillor Mark Rodda. Prospective members welcome.

Tamworth and District Seniors Computer Club
The Seniors Computer club recommences on April 19 at 10am for Term 2 at the Club Rooms, 2/6 Denne Street, Tamworth. The club provides one-on-one computer training for Windows, Apple, and Android operating systems and applications. New students welcome and we also offer online training for seniors. The Club has a COVID-19 safe plan in place.

The Lions Club of Tamworth City Charter Function
On Sunday April 18, we celebrate the Charter of the newly formed Lions Club of Tamworth City at Wests Leagues Club with the District Governor Kevin Thornton and wife Lion Julie and some members of seven other clubs around the region attending.
Previously known as the Lioness Club of Tamworth, all 28 members have now formed our own Lions club for the ladies. Our club's activities are varied with emphasis on community service. We fundraise with Bunnings BBQ's and catering for functions and these funds go back to the local community. We also run the Wig Library to help cancer patients with fitting and supplying wigs at minimal cost. We also help with delivering for Meals on Wheels as well as social events together.

World Tai Chi day
Tmworth tai chi teacher Brian Gregson is set to mark World Tai Chi day on Saturday, April 24, with a class in Tamworth.
The special display of tai chi skills will be held at 10am in Bicentennial Park in Kable Avenue.

Tamworth Combined Probus Club's Monthly Meeting will be held on Tuesday May 4, 2021 commencing at 9.45 am.
Meetings are held at the Tamworth Community Centre on the first Tuesday of each month.

The Saturday Yarners will be a group to get together and share crafts and ideas, have a cup of tea and a chat at the Tamworth Craft Shed, Marius St. Share knowledge and have a great morning, 10am to 1pm. Justices of the Peace
Members of the Tamworth branch of the Northern NSW Federation of Justices of the Peace will be in attendance in the foyer of Ray Walsh House in Tamworth each Monday from 10AM to 1PM for the purposes of witnessing signatures, certifying copies of documents and other JP related matters. Justices of the Peace are also most welcome to attend our bi monthly meetings at Red Cross House in Tamworth. Next meeting will be on April 23 at 7pm.
