The 16-year-old was hit and injured in an accident on a property at Barraba.
Ambulance NSW has confirmed paramedics and the Westpac Rescue Helicopter were tasked to help the injured boy.
Emergency services received the triple zero call about 1am on Saturday and rushed to the property.

Paramedics treated the teenager for abdominal injuries at the scene and rushed him to the Barraba hospital.
The Westpac chopper from tasked from Tamworth and the helicopter's critical care medical team assessed the boy at the hospital.
He was stabilised and flown to Tamworth hospital for urgent treatment for the abominable injuries.
He remains in hospital.
It's understood the circumstances leading up to the accident are being investigated.
