The concert was cancelled last year due to COVID-19 and is finally back to perform Andrew Batterham's Trumpet Concerto.
Plus, the orchestra will perform a new work by composer Andrew Howes, believed to be the next generation of Australian music.
Entertainment Venues manager Peter Ross said he's overjoyed the Sydney Symphony Orchestra is returning for the concert.
"So much work was done to secure the 2020 concert and we were devastated when COVID-19 restrictions forced the cancellation of the tour," he said.
"We are no delighted to announce their return to Tamworth at Tamworth Town Hall in August 2021."

Directing the orchestra is conductor Umberto Clerici.
