Mrs Overton was presented with a framed certificate signed by Premier Gladys Berejiklian, Minister for Women Bronnie Taylor and Tamworth MP Kevin Anderson as a special acknowledgment of her award.
"LouEllen is so deserving of this award," Mr Anderson said.
"She's been the secretary and treasurer of the Manilla Show Society for five years bringing in a mountain of state funding for the grounds as well as attracting more sponsors for the annual show.
"The transformation of the Manilla Showgrounds over the past five years has been immense and you can thank LouEllen for those improvements."
The award comes after Mrs Overton won funding through the Showground Stimulus Fund to the tune of $176,639 for the refurbishment of the Manilla Showground Pavilion.
She said this was great news for the annual show and other events.
