A 34-YEAR-OLD man has been airlifted to hospital with head injuries after a motorbike accident near Narrabri.

The Westpac Rescue Helicopter and ambulance paramedics rushed to a property south of Narrabri just before midday on Sunday, after reports a man had come off his motorbike and hurt himself.

The 34-year-old rider was treated at the scene for head injuries and possible neck injuries, a spokesman from the helicopter service said.
The man was reportedly riding the motorbike on a farm about 15km south of Narrabri when the accident happened.
The chopper's critical care team and paramedics worked to treat the 34-year-old for his injuries and stabilise him for transport.
He was flown to Tamworth hospital for further treatment, and was reported to be in a stable condition.
