A STOLEN car has been recovered and a manhunt for four intruders is under way after a break-in in Armidale on Friday morning.

Four people forced their way into the Niagara Street home in Armidale about 12.45am.
Once inside, they work a sleeping 82-year-old resident.
The offenders demanded the man's wallet and keys and then took off with the goods, as well as his car.

Police were alerted, but confirmed the man was not physically injured in the break-in.
A crime scene was setup at the home, which was examined by forensic police and detectives on Friday.
The stolen car was later tracked to O'Dell Street where it was recovered for clues.
Police are appealing for anyone who might have seen the four intruders, or who might have dashcam footage of any vehicles being driven about 12.45am-1am in the Armidale area to contact police.
