With Hillgrove already booking their spot from a win against City in the March 6 major semi-final, City went head-to-head with Easts in the recent preliminary final with the last spot in the decider up for grabs.
Winning the toss and batting first, City's openers Kyle Taylor and Ash Clee got to work setting up their side's innings.
They had 36 runs on the board before Clee was dismissed by Easts skipper Clarrie Moran for 12.
Number three Andrew Skinner didn't last too long either, Moran claiming his wicket as well for four.
Andrew Kirk made his way to the crease to join Taylor and City reached 89 before he departed on 11, Justin Hickey doing the damage.
Taylor brought up 62 runs before Cody Graham took his wicket.
A middle order partnership between Anton Peenz and Matt Scully pushed City past 100 runs before Peenz was bowled leg-before-wicket by Moran for 26.
Simon Stubbs added 11 before being bowled by Moran and then Scully departed on 26 as Moran brought up his five-fa.
City managed to finish their 45 overs on 7-184, Karl Triebe remaining at crease with 13 not out along with Riley Bomford on zero not out.
Easts started their run chase solidly with 25 runs posted before Will Green was caught on eight off Triebe's bowling.
Triebe then bowled Lochie Elks for seven before Bomford nabbed opener Dean Waters for 31.
Moran couldn't repeat his efforts with the ball as he left the crease as quickly as he arrived off Bomford's bowling. Ian Ranger made 12 before he became another victim of Bomford's.
City's Simon Stubbs then chimed in, claiming Aaron Whackett's wicket for 23 and then Justin Hickey for a duck.
Kirk then finished off the Easts' batsmen with the wickets of Maurice Kelly and Mitch Northam for one each.
Easts were all out for 129, giving City a 55-run victory and the place in the grand final against Hillgrove this Saturday, weather pending.
Team lists for the grand final:
Hillgrove: yet to be submitted.
City: Kyle Taylor, Ash Clee, Andrew Skinner, Andrew Kirk, Anton Peenz, Matt Scully, Simon Stubbs, Karl Triebe (c), Riley Bomford, James Napper, Chris Wild.
