Thirty-one records tumbled, the oldest being set 17 years ago.

If that wasn't enough, the spread of swimmers that broke records was also incredible, coach Graham Johnstone said.

"Sometimes you might get seven or eight swimmers break that amount of records but we had 14," he said.

"It was probably more pleasing - than the 31 records - to have 14 different swimmers [break records]. It's pretty exciting for new kids to get their first or second records."

Caitlin Grobler swam a huge six records from 10 swims while Emily Deasey (five records from six swims) and Thomas McDougall (four records from six swims) were also impressive.

The club championships were held on Friday evening and Sunday morning with the swimmers having to go up against some testing conditions on Friday.

"It was an awesome way to end the season," Johnstone said.

"Friday it was rainy, windy and cold and they swam pretty exceptional times considering the conditions. They exceeded expectations by a long way."

While Kooty have had their club championships, swimming hasn't dried up just yet for its members.

School carnivals are still going while two Kooty swimmers will compete at the Junior State Age Championships on the weekend.

Caitlin Grobler will compete in the 12 girls 50m butterfly while Jaime Grobler will race in the 11 girls 50m breaststroke.

Johnstone said they had been putting in the hard yards in preparation.

"The girls are really looking forward to the weekend," he said.
