The Brett Jarrett-coached side trailed 16-nil at halftime at the Tamworth school oval but finished off better after a half time spray from their coach to win the second half 16-8.
Second half tries to Jeremiah West, Logan Spinks and Charlie Henderson highlighted the talent and ability in the young side, said Jarrett.
"The way we finished off was the pleasing thing," Jarrett said.

"I gave them a spray at halftime, asked them for a bit more effort and courage and they responded.
"They have developed and improved massively, just haven't got the results to back it all up.
"They still have a bit to learn, still have some lapses and errors in their game and didn't have a few things go there way. Could easily be sitting here today with four (wins) from five. Hopefully the boys will go back to their clubs and improve and then come back to the program next year."
He thought Marty Bonnell came off the bench to give the side some sting in defence with a few bone shakers. Seb Lawler also excelled again, Logan Spinks also played well despite an injury and Riley Pennell was always dangerous.
Pennell's talent is untapped and looks a great prospect for the future.
