These two events will highlight the importance of including women in conversations, as they have the capacity to make change, CWA Tamworth Evening Branch member Helen Cameron believes.
First up will be a movie night showing David Attenborough's A Life on Our Planet. Planned for March 12, the event will be held at UNE Tamworth on Fitzroy Street, and attendees will enjoy the classic movie accompaniments - popcorn and Malteasers.
"We thought the David Attenborough film was a great opportunity, it highlights the impact that humans are having on the planet and causing irreparable damage and it opens the discussion with our community," Ms Cameron told the Leader.
"I think women are in a unique position to consider the impacts of climate change as they tend to be more sensitive to changes and we've certainly seen a flush of energy to deepen the conversations about climate change.
"We're having a Q&A after the film which are about the solutions offered [and] looking at what is happening in the community."

This Q&A will feature a panel of local speakers, including representatives from the Manilla Solar Farm project and Tamworth Regional Landcare Association.
Next up, on March 14, the CWA will be working with the UNE SMART Region Incubator (SRI) for 'Her Path - Women Paving the Way'.
This event will host key note speakers from across the region who will provide insight from their own experience and discuss the challenges women face in working in male-dominated fields.
"We would really like to encourage women to follow the path they choose and not feel they are restricted in their career or any other area in their life," CWA branch president Sue-Ellen Hogan said.
"We are still seeing less women employed in certain sectors, especially in the STEM field so we are interested in starting a conversation about how women can be better supported and encouraged in these fields, as well as hearing the experience of women who have chosen to work in these sectors."
Tickets for both events can be purchased via Eventbrite.
