Oxley police told the Leader on Tuesday morning that Lindelwe Khabo was tracked to London in England.
The missing 38-year-old was reported missing to police in Tamworth after he disappeared on Friday night.
Mr Khabo was last seen at a home on Riesling Road in North Tamworth at about 8pm on February 26.

When he had not been seen or heard from, concerned members contacted police who issued an urgent public appeal to find him on the weekend.
After investigations into his whereabouts, Mr Khabo was traced overseas to England and has since spoken to police.
Police have thanked the public for their assistance.
It's the second missing man found by Oxley police within days.
Robert Mann disappeared from Tamworth at the weekend but officers confirmed on Monday morning that he was found safe and well.
