Sam Johnson and Vanessa Simpson had the chance to play against and with some of the country's best when the Australian Cricketers' Association brought their Masters tour to town.
The duo played in a Twenty20 match on Friday night between and Armidale XI and the Masters team with Johnson lining up for Armidale and Simpson alongside the Masters.

"It was an awesome experience to play against these people who have played at the highest level with and against some of the world's best cricketers," Johnson said.
"Thanks to everyone from council and Armidale for putting together the event."
Not only did they get to rub shoulders with the members of the tour, the pair were also awarded $500 scholarships to their cricket development.
Simpson was thrilled with how it all turned out.
"I would like to thank everyone for being able to give me this great opportunity being able to play for the Masters.
"It was such a amazing opportunity being able to play with some of the most amazing cricketers for Australia and they have all taught me a lot.
"I'm also proud and very grateful for the scholarship and now to be able to be mentored from Sarah Andrews as this is a amazing opportunity.
"It shows that if you work hard and put time into anything that it's going to pay off for you in the long run.
"So thanky ou everyone and thanks to all of the Masters that I got to play along side with.
"Can't wait to see what comes in the future for me and Sam."
