The decision to postpone Sunday's meeting was made after a track inspection on Saturday.
"We got the Racing NSW stewards up yesterday and they deemed it unsuitable for racing," Armidale secretary-manager Jim Dedes said.

"It's unfortunate for our Cup. We were expecting a good crowd and good fields.
He added: "We were expecting a big day but that's the way it is. Horse and jockey welfare comes first."
Dedes said a new date hadn't been found for the Armidale Cup meeting but he hoped a decision could be made this week.
"We'll have to have a talk to Racing NSW and our committee through the week and make a decision," he said.
It continues a run of bad luck for the club which had a meeting called off late last year due to rain while drought conditions have also seen meetings moved.
