The crowd heard from University of New England vice-chancellor Brigid Heywood, Tamworth Regional Council mayor Col Murray and general manager Paul Bennett, followed by a live Q&A.
Business owners came prepared with tough questions about the previously proposed events levy, manufacturing opportunities in Tamworth, the possibility of a Brisbane 2032 Olympics and the airport.
Hosted by Tamworth Business Chamber, the event had one of the bigger turnouts since COVID-19 with all sectors of the business community in attendance.
