A concierge service, run by the NSW Government, will help 'large corporations and companies' develop business plans and provide practical advice about establishing jobs, offices and headquarters in regional towns and cities.
Tamworth Business Chamber president Stephanie Cameron said they welcomed any opportunity encouraging businesses to invest in Tamworth.
"Especially if the government are providing incentives for businesses to relocate to regional areas in NSW. Relocating business to Tamworth fits in with council's plans to increase our population to 100,000 people by 2040," Ms Cameron said.
Tamworth MP Kevin Anderson, who made the announcement with the Deputy Premier, said it was "fantastic news" for the region.
"Bringing big business here means more jobs for locals and more money in the tills of our local restaurants and shops," he said.
Deputy Premier John Barilaro said the NSW Government has "led the way" announcing public sector jobs will be advertised state-wide with 'regional location encouraged' and now he is calling on big business to follow suit.
"One of the principles of good business is 'location, location, location', but in the COVID world the secret to success is relocation, relocation, relocation, to regional NSW, giving companies access to a wider field of skilled workers and reduced operating costs," Mr Barilaro said.
Regional manager for Business NSW Joe Townsend said "on face value, it's really welcomed."

"It's great to see a new focus which will attract more businesses to regional NSW. It's great to see [the NSW Government] stepping up and taking that leadership role to attract business to the country," he said.
Ms Cameron said if this program worked in conjunction with other grants available, it would be something businesses would be more inclined to take up.
"If the incentive has been designed in such a way the business can take advantage of the grants available I think Tamworth has a lot to offer families that are relocating to our region with high quality schools, lifestyle balance, top notch sporting facilities and high quality a café and dining experiences."
