A WOMAN has been left shaken after a brazen daylight robbery on a remote road outside of Tamworth.

The 26-year-old woman was robbed by a man who confronted her as she sat in a car, parked at the intersection of Fossickers Way and Split Rock Dam Road at Upper Manilla.
Police said the robbery unfolded about 4.45pm on Monday.
Officers have been told a green four-wheel-drive pulled up alongside the woman's car, before a male teenager jumped out and opened the driver's side door.

The offender demanded the woman's phone, police said, before threatening her and rummaging through her property inside the car.
Th offender then took off with a quantity of cash, jumped back in the green getaway car - which police said was being driven by a woman - before it fled the scene, last headed towards Barraba on the Fossickers Way.
Police were called and said the woman was shaken and distressed by the robbery, but was not injured.
Now, the hunt is on for the couple in the green getaway car as police piece together what happened.
Investigators said the male is believed to be a teenager, aged 15 to 17 with a Caucasian appearance and tanned complexion.
He is described as being tall with a solid build, brown hair and was last seen wearing a red t-shirt.
The woman behind the wheel of the car is believed to be Caucasian, about 25 to 30 years old with blonde, shoulder-length hair and a nose ring.
Oxley police are appealing for anyone that might have seen the green four-wheel-drive being driven on the Fossickers Way on Monday, or who might have dashcam footage.
