TAMWORTH will soon have a new round of doctors, vets, and chefs, with the latest kindergarten students hitting the books already set on what they want to be when they grow up.

The Leader spoke to some of the new kindy kids at St Edward's Primary School and Tamworth Public School, about how they're feeling now that they're in big school.
St Edwards' Matthew Press isn't sure what he wants to be when he's older, but since starting kindy he's thoroughly enjoyed playing outside.
"I like playing cricket, I mostly like to be a batter," Matthew said.
"I like to watch the Big Bash better than normal cricket."

His classmate Emma Brewer wants to be a doctor. Her favourite thing to do at school is to eat, because she's "hungry all the time".
"My mummy packs me yummy food," she explained.
Their teacher, Jessica Donnelly, said so far "they've been a bit tired, but there's been lots of smiles and happy faces".
"We've been settling in with our routines, we've just started looking at doing some guided rotations so moving around the room in a group without going to do what they like," she said.
"We've been looking at fine motor skills, number development, pencil grip and a little bit of religion."
Meanwhile, at Tamworth public, Eleanor Shipanski wants to be a vet, and four-year-old Lilly Nixon wants to be a doctor.
There's about 120 kindy kids that have started at this school, divided into six classes.
Monica Rodgers teaches the bears class, and said all her students had been "really settled".
"They've been learning how to hold their pencil properly, how to control their pencil, the school rules, and how we walk to our table, pull our chair out and sit down properly so we're not sitting on top of the person next to us," she said.
