TCMF was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic which meant oztag players could hit the paddock early.
"We're not normally back because of the Country Music Festival but people seem excited to be back into it [oztag]," Potts said.
"With sport back on, it helps fill that empty hole."

Spectators have also been welcomed back to the oztag fields in line with the easing of COVID-19 restrictions.
"We have the QR codes down at the fields. Everyone's been very cooperative," Potts said.
Along with the competitions resuming early, the men's, women's and mixed representative teams have also hit the paddock.
"Once we kicked the comp off, we thought we'd get going with the rep training, too," Potts said.
"The 2021 State Cup is at the end of March. We're taking 10 Taipans sides from under 20s through to 55s."
