The small building is located on the Armidale Road next to the Colonial Inn, and was run by the Peel Valley Lion's Club.
It's been closed for a while as a result of COVID, but now, after a meeting, president Michelle Brown said the club wouldn't be "putting our hand up to take on the driver reviver at this stage".
She said procedures would be changing because Allan McCormack, the head of Driver Reviver Australia, was retiring.
"The format is going to change, so everything is up in the air," Ms Brown said.
"Until the [Roads and Maritime Service] put out information for it, it'll be up to any volunteer group who's up for it, I suppose."

Ms Brown said the club member who headed up the Tamworth facility had been doing it for 25 years, so it was a tough decision.
"Until the club knows what the procedures will be, we can't take on that project yet," she told the Leader.
"There may be other interested parties in Tamworth, and we've been in contact with other clubs, but we're not going to commit to the driver reviver at this stage."
The facility saw a variety of travellers over its time, from all over the country and the world. Many were surprised the coffee and tea was free.
According to the Roads and Maritime Service (RMS), the closest driver reviver stops to Tamworth now are in Armidale and Warialda.
An up-to-date map of all operating driver revivers in NSW can be found on the RMS website.
