One Tamworth mum has been left horrified after she found used needles strewn throughout a local park.

Wynona Livermore was at the Lions Park on Duri Road on Sunday where she found at least five used needles.
She urged everyone going to the park, especially families, to be careful.
"It's a health risk for everyone," Ms Livermore told the Leader.
"People deserve to know."
She reported the "dirty" finds to Tamworth Regional Council.
But she wasn't alone.
Another woman took to social media on the same day as a "warning to parents" to tell of needle caps and used condoms at another park, this time near Calala.

She also said she'd called council to let them know.
A council spokesperson assured the Leader all reports were being investigated.
Reports go to the appropriate authority in charge of the park or street, and action is taken "immediately" to remove the dangerous items for the safety of the community.
