King plundered three sixes and two fours en route to a 29-ball 44 as Imperial Hotel hammered McDonalds by 78 runs.
In the earlier game Karen Carter Chemist were two wicket winners over the Sign Print Stitch Stars.
Ash White top-scored for the Stars with 21 in their 80 while Ryan Cooper and Jaryd Stevens both chipped in with 10.

The spoils were shared among the Karen Carter bowlers with Cooper Blinman claiming three, and Mitch Foster, Alasdair Hewitt and Hayden Baker two apiece.
Simon Norvill then led the way with 26 off 13 including two sixes and two fours as they chased the runs down in 14 overs. There were a few nervous moments when they lost 3-1 but Justin Carter (5no) and Carter McIlveen (6no) saw them home.
Stevens picked up 3-17 while Zoe Fleming and Nick Millar chimed in with two and White one.
Imperial then posted a challenging 7-148, King and Richard Bullock (30 off 23) setting the tone for the big total with a 55 run opening stand. Mitch Swain and Luke Ryan then got in on the act with Swain hitting 22 off 16 and Ryan 26 off 23.
McDonalds were then never really in the hunt and could only muster 70, openers Jaycob Price (15) and Adam McGuirk (12) the only batsmen to reach double figures.
Peter McCormack was the main destroyer with 4-12.
Ryan was also among the wickets. He nabbed one along with Lachlan Straney and Andrew Osmond while Vinnie Winsor picked up two.
