Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a man missing from the Copeton Dam area, in the NSW Northern Tablelands.

Michael Long, aged 20, was last seen by family members at a campsite in a holiday park at Copeton Dam, about 10pm on Thursday, January 7.
He was reported missing to officers from New England Police District on Friday, January 8.
Michael Long is described as being of Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander appearance, about 175cm tall, of medium build, with brown hair and brown eyes. He was wearing a black hoodie and grey track pants.
