TACTICAL police have arrested a man wanted in connection to a drive-by shooting almost two months ago in the New England.

The specialist police, backed by the Operational Support Group and strike force detectives, surrounded two homes in Toomelah on Tuesday morning, before raiding both of them.
Police said a 19-year-old man wanted in connection to the Boggabilla shootings in November was arrested.
During the raids, which took place about 7.30am, officers uncovered a replica pistol and ammunition, which have been seized and will be forensically analysed to see if they are connected to the shooting.

The 19-year-old has been charged with four counts of firing a firearm at a dwelling with disregard for public safety.
The teenager has been denied bail by police and will front an out-of-sessions bail hearing on Wednesday.
Strike Force Deleware was setup by New England police in the wake of the shootings of several homes in Boggabilla in the early hours of November 23.
Police told the Leader last month that five crime scenes had been established after the 3.30am shooting.
"Police established five crime scenes, and after forensic examinations of the scenes we established four homes were hit but another location involved shooting into the air," Detective Inspector Roger Best said at the time.
Police suspect the shooting was triggered by an ongoing dispute between parties in Toomelah and Boggabilla.
Alexander William McGrady, remains behind bars after he was captured in late-November during a foot pursuit in Toomelah.
In court in November, McGrady was not required to enter pleas to four charges of firing a firearm at a house with disregard for safety - a charge that carries a maximum of 14 years' imprisonment, if found guilty.
It's the police case that two men used a white Magna to drive around, firing shots at homes and into the air. The car was later found burnt out in the Toomelah mission.
Police said investigations by strike force are continuing.
