The roads around the region which remain closed include:
- Burgmanns Lane
- Back Woolbrook Road at Congi low level bridge
- Tilmunda Road
- Wimborne Lane, Upper Manilla
- Bungendore Spur Road
- Camerons Lane
- Limbri-Weabonga Road
- Gap Road, Werris Creek
Earlier:
TAMWORTH drivers need to be on the ball when driving around the city, as several roads are still closed after the heavy rain.
Tamworth Regional Council urged caution and said although some roads have reopened, there is still the risk of slippery surfaces and debris over the roads.

Back Woolbrook Road at the Congi low level bridge is expected to remain closed until the new year.
Gap Road at Werris Creek has been closed.
Tilmunda Road has also been closed to traffic on Wednesday morning.
Danglemah Road, Mulla Creek Road and Fishers Lane are yet to be inspected but "extreme caution" should be taken, according to council.
There has been no change to the following roads, which remain closed after they were covered in flood water on Tuesday:
- Burgmanns Lane
- Duri-Dungowan Road
- Wallamore Road at Tangaratta
- Limbri-Weabonga Road
- Williams Street causeway at Barraba
In the Manilla area, the Higgins street crossing has reopened but Wimborne Lane remains closed.
Authorities have reminded locals to never drive, walk or ride through floodwater as it can be deceptive and turn dangerous.
