Kobe Bone will enjoy a well-earned few days break over Christmas before hooking back into training as he gets set to resume his marathon audition for the North Sydney Bears' 2021 SG Ball Cup squad in the new year.

The teenager is back home in Tamworth after what has been a pretty "full-on" last eight weeks.
Training three days a week, the North Tamworth under-18s lock has also had to negotiate several trials and squad cuts.

He was to have played Western Suburbs in what would have been his third trial (following an intra-squad trial and then clash against the Sydney Roosters) on Friday night but the game was cancelled amid the coronavirus outbreak in Sydney.
"We've got one more trial after Christmas on January the 18th against Manly," Bone told The Leader.
The squad is currently on break until January 11 but there will be no rest for the wicked as the saying goes.
They have all been given a training program to follow and at the end of their last training session were told that there would be a 'big test' when they returned, and warned that there would be penalties if they didn't beat their results from the beginning of the program.
"Everyone's got a bit of pressure on us," Bone said.
He has been pretty happy with how he has performed in the trials and said he feels like he is improving.
