The Betterthancheddar-Glory Glory mare's NSW debut was a winning one when Dean Chapple steered her to victory in the ECO Energy and Solar Solutions Pace (1609m) at Tamworth Paceway on Thursday afternoon.
Brie - who hails from Victoria - is raced by Chapple's wife Julie and well-respected thoroughbred industry figures Sue Grills, Leslie Jeffries and Kim Cross.

"We thought we would have a bit of fun and syndicate her out," said Chapple of the four-year-old.
He added: "I thought she would lead but she got on her knee a bit going into the first turn, so I let the position go and it worked out perfect in behind the leader."
The Greg Coney-trained and Blake Hughes-driven Alot Of Cost headed up the field, with the David Grant-trained and Darren Grant-driven Miss Serendipity racing out in the breeze.
Turning into the straight, Chapple took Brie - who commenced from barrier one - three wide and the mare recorded a 2.5m win over Alot Of Cost.
Miss Serendipity was a further eight metres away in third place.
In her previous start, at Echuca on October 21, Brie produced her first win in race start 30.
"They race on bigger tracks down in Melbourne and they have to adapt to the smaller tracks when they come here," Chapple said.
"There is a mile of improvement in her."
