Carinya have claimed the Primary Christian School State Cricket Knockout with a victory in the final over Inaburra School.

The primary school side won by 74 runs in the end following an all-round effort by the Carinya outfit.
But if there was one thing that stood out for Carinya coach Josh Davis from the final, it was their character.

"One of the better things about these guys is not only are they good at cricket but they're really good about the way they go about the game," he said.
"They're really good kids and they play the right way."
Carinya beat Belmont Christian College and Green Point Christian College en route to the final where they batted first.
They went at nearly a run a ball as they put on 6-174 from their 30 overs.
"With our batting we had five guys get over 15," Davis said.
"It really was a good team batting performance. There was a couple key partnerships in the middle that held it together."
While the final margin was a comfortable one, it wasn't always that way throughout the match.
"It was a bit tight in the middle," Davis said.
"One of their guys really got going and was 40ish not out.
"We took that wicket and they had a bit of a collapse after their key guy got out.
Davis added: "They really play well as a team and do the simple things well."
Carinya went on to bowl Inaburra out for 100.
It cemented Carinya's second ever title in the Primary Christian School State Knockout.
