But, as December 1 has snuck up on us all it appears this week it really has.
The silly season doesn't mean serious decisions are off the agenda, with the council to decide whether to make a submission to the $5 million Manilla solar project which will go to the Northern Regional Planning Panel soon.
An ambitious Turf Precinct Masterplan could see unused land turned into brand new sports fields with some funds and community support.
Developers could catch a break if the council decides to defer water and headworks payments until subdivision lots are sold, while competition for the Organics Waste Recycling Facility contract heats up.
Councillors will also decide whether to undertake a feasibility study into a weir at the Peel River to further secure the town water supply.
We'll bring you all the decisions as they happen live from 6:30pm, please give the blog a moment to load below.
