IT'S been a tough year for literal lifesaver the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service (WRHS), so the Tamworth Junior Business Chamber (TJBC) has stepped up to lend a helping hamper.
The gift idea not only showcases small business, but provides support to one of the region's most critical health services, TJBC member Anneka Frayne said.
"This year all of the charities have had a big blow in their income because they can't do any fundraising," she said.
"It's a really important service because we live in a remote community and we rely on them to help sick or injured people to a bigger hospital."
Local businesses have jumped on board with the hampers.
Every dollar counts, WRHS volunteer coordinator Kim Newling said.
"We're just so appreciative, we rely on the generosity of businesses, community groups and sponsors and we're very grateful to them and our volunteers," she said.
The hampers are $100 from the Tamworth Business Chamber office.
