The club was one of more than a dozen community groups in the New England awarded grants to coincide with National Volunteer Week earlier this year.
Tamworth FC's Brent May said the grant was greatly appreciated.

"Tamworth FC is very grateful for Mr Joyce's support and assistance with the volunteer grant process," Mr May said.
"Tamworth FC has utilised the grant to purchase computer equipment for the club's committee to use which will be of great benefit to the running of the club."
Member for New England, Barnaby Joyce, said the work of volunteers didn't got unnoticed.
"Volunteers put in countless hours of selfless service to make sure community organisations and sports clubs in the New England are as successful as they can be," Mr Joyce said.
"They often provide their own resources and equipment at their own expense to get the job done but this grant will help ease that burden at Tamworth Football Club."
Other local organisations presented grants included Northern Inland Football Incorporated ($4960), Oxley Community Transport Service Inc ($5000) and Tamworth Regional Landcare Association Inc ($5000).
