It will mark the start of his first tournament for the Tamworth 50s side following a 35-year association with the game including 20 years in Tamworth grade cricket.
Follington, 50, has been a mainstay for North Tamworth across second, third and fourth grade over the past two decades.

He played the last few years with his son Nathaniel - seasons Follington will always be fond of.
"It was great to still be able to play when he [Nathaniel] was old enough [to play grade cricket]," he said.
But when Nathaniel decided to take the year off, Follington went down the vets route this season.
"I knew with the vets stuff, I'd still get a bit of cricket," he said.
Follington is a fan of the concept which enables older cricketers to continue playing the game.
"I could imagine a lot of people would have walked away from the game if they weren't playing vets," Follington said.
"They can keep enjoying the sport most of them have been playing most of their lives."
Follington is keen to see what other teams have to offer at the carnival.
And while he's keen to see what the quality is like, he's more looking forward to continuing and creating new bonds.
"It's more about the people you meet and the friends you make," Follington said of his cricket career.
"Especially in Tamworth grade cricket, you have a few beers at the end of the day and no one takes it too seriously."
Follington considers himself a bowler that has improved his batting over the years.
And he will test that out at the three-day 50s carnival in Tamworth.
It kicks off on Sunday with teams represented from the Central Coast, north to Port Macquarie, out to Dubbo and Narrabri.
In total, 10 teams will play at the carnival which will include three day-night games to be played at No. 1 Oval.
The tournament will come to a close on Tuesday night with Tamworth taking on Lord's Taverners from Newcastle under lights.
