The Tamworth school has taken out two of the top prizes in the statewide Sun and UV at School Challenge, winning 1500 tubes of SPF 50+ sunscreen to keep them slip, slop, slapped up.
The announcement marked the start of National Skin Cancer Action Week 2020. With an "incredible" 137 entries in total from the school, they took home both the school and single class with the most entries.
Henry Whale and Sally Dierich both said their 3C class was ecstatic when they got the news.
"We were screaming, yelling, we were all just so excited," Henry enthused.
"It was really fun, and we learned more about sun safety too," Sally explained.
Sports coordinator and teacher Natasha Gippel said that every year level at her school entered the challenge.
She said it was a "new and fun way" for the kids to learn and think creatively about protecting their skin and prevent skin cancer.

"Some of the students' designs for a sun safe playground were truly incredible," she said.
"We will be using our prize, including 1,500 bottles of sunscreen, to help improve sun protection around the school."
The competition, run by the Cancer Institute NSW, part of NSW Health, encouraged school students across NSW to design fun and innovative spaces to protect their school community from the harmful effects of sun and UV.
