Crews from two local fire stations, police and ambulance paramedics rushed to a house on Tingira Avenue in West Tamworth just after 9:30pm on Wednesday, after reports the building was on fire.
Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) zone commander Superintendent Tom Cooper said it was understood no one was inside the home at the time, and no one was injured in the blaze.

Emergency services arrived within minutes of an urgent Triple Zero call to find flames roaring inside the home.
"On arrival, crews sent a message to say the house was well alight ... and they got to work," Superintendent Cooper said.
Firefighters and three trucks from South Tamworth and Tamworth FRNSW brigades spent an hour battling the blaze, and had dowsed the flames by about 10:30pm.
Superintendent Cooper said the incident was handed over to police for investigation once the fire had been put out.
Officers from Oxley police remained on the scene on Thursday morning, combing the area.
The full extent of the internal damage to the building was unknown to firefighters on Thursday morning.
It remains uncertain how the blaze began inside the Tingira Avenue home, but investigations are continuing.
