THE Tamworth skate park has been vandalised overnight with police searching for answers.
On Wednesday morning, officers made a public appeal to find three people who visited the park overnight on Tuesday.
No charges have been laid but officers believe they can help investigations, and have released CCTV images.
Police claim vandals damaged tiles and fences at the state-of-the art modern skate park on the corner of Peel and Macquarie streets in Viaduct Park.
"Police wish to speak to the persons depicted in the attached photos," a police statement said.
"They will be able to assist police with investigations in the recent damage to the skate park - where tiles were damaged and fences."
The $1.7 million rink has been touted "one of the best" in Australia by professional skateboarders and opened in May last year.
Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or Tamworth Police Station on 6768 2999.
