Locals are being urged to register for the event, which challenges residents to not use running taps from 5pm on Thursday until 5am Friday, unless for COVID safe or religious reasons.
The event makes up part of the council's National Water Week activities and is aimed at educating locals on water conservation.

The council's water sustainability officer, Louise Cadell is urging more locals to get involved with the national movement.
"Water Night comes from Smart Approved Water and households are challenged to only use one bucket of water, no taps, no showers, no running water, just one bucket," Ms Cadell said.
"It's all about improving our water mindfulness and how often we reach for the taps.
"I think the last three years have been tough on the region in terms of water and I think it's all about looking at what we can do to conserve water into the future."
The National Water Week theme for 2020 is Reimagining our Water Future, to underline the stress population growth will put on water resources and how water might be reused to ensure there is always enough.
"A lot of people don't realise on average we turn on the tap nine times a day, so we're addicted to water," Ms Cadell said.
"Obviously we are still on Level 4 water restrictions, so of course our water use is still limited to 200L per person, per day.
"I think the move from Level 5 to Level 4 water restrictions has proven that we are still practicing our habits from Level 5 and in a year people have improved their water use, which is really impressive.
"Even now we're not seeing our daily use increase that much but it is important to keep driving that message of water conservation home which is what National Water Week is all about."
Ms Cadell said the challenge also allowed locals the chance to get artistic.
"It is a great educational event for families and decorating your bucket as your symbol of the night is a great way of encouraging kids to get involved," she said.
"By getting your kids to decorate their bucket it gets them involved and shows this challenge is certainly one for the whole family."
