Not only did his new stable acquisition Lutzy's Dream greet the judge at the geldings first start for the stable but his daughter Courtney and her partner David Munsie presented Sutherland with a granddaughter the evening prior.
"I was totally over the moon with the arrival of Everleigh Mary-Joyce, and then the win," said Sutherland.

Sutherland races Lutzy's Dream with Courtney. The Caribbean Blaster-Shelly Lobell gelding paid $51 for the win.
"I thought he could win if he got the right draw but I didn't back him," said Sutherland. "He has paid for himself after that win."
Sutherland had two runners in the Standardbred Stud Pace. Lutzy's Dream had the one barrier while stablemate Jax Tellar (Brad Elder) started from the four barrier and finished ninth.
Sutherland engaged Dean Chapple for the drive behind Lutzys Dream.
For Moonbi trainer and reinsman, it was surprise win.
"I had never seen the horse before," said Chapple
"We got a couple of cheap sectionals in the race but on the final turn he dug deep an got himself to the line. He just put his head down and went."
Lutzys Dream had a 3.4 metre win over Ladyeenwaiting (Madi Young), with Penny A Packet (Blake Hughes) a half neck away in third.
Chapple produced a training double for his own stable, which commenced with Apollon in the Multiquip Poultry Pace and finished with Louthpark Xsresso in the Hazell's Farm & Fertilizer Services Pace.
Chapple's daughter, Elly, piloted Louthpark Xsresso.
"Elly drove him nice and pulled out at the right time," said Chapple.
