The Bureau of Meteorology (BoM) gauge at Tamworth airport recorded 7.6mm of rain to 9am on Monday, after a wet Sunday.
Residents across the region took to social media to report rainfall recorded at their places on Sunday.
More than 10mm was recorded at Werris Creek and Quirindi, 5mm in Manilla and 30mm at a Moonbi Hill property.

About 15mm of rain was recorded at the BoM weather station at the head of the Peel River, near Nundle.
Chaffey Dam was sitting at 25.97 per cent on Monday morning, according to data from Water NSW.
The rain reached Gunnedah too, with the local BoM station notching 7.2mm of rain to 9am Sunday morning.
After a mostly sunny morning on Monday, the BoM has forecast rainy conditions to return.
There is a 70 per cent chance of showers in Tamworth, most likely on Monday night.
There is a chance of a thunderstorm later this afternoon.
A north to northwesterly wind could reach 30km per hour in Tamworth on Monday, but it's expected to get lighter toward the evening.
The BoM has predicted cloudy conditions with a high chance - 80 per cent - of between 8mm and 20mm of rain falling on Tuesday.
Gunnedah is also set to cop more of the wet stuff, according to the BoM forecast.
The bureau has predicted a 70 per cent chance of showers in the Gunnedah area on Tuesday, along with the possibility of a thunderstorm.
Rain clouds are expected to drop between 4mm and 15mm.
