These activities may result in some noise disturbance for residents in the vicinity, however none of the locations being used for the training are under any form of actual threat.
Commander of the Army's 16th Aviation Brigade, Brigadier David Hafner said ADF personnel will not actually fire their weapons during the training.
"I ask the community to keep their distance from any activities they may see to ensure their safety, however encourage them to give our people a wave if they see our helicopters flying overhead," he said.
Brigadier Hafner said the training is "critical" to ensure soldiers have the skills they need to fly day and night, at low altitudes in urban and rural areas.
"Aviation training activities are designed to be complex and must be undertaken in locations unfamiliar to the aircrew."
The training may cause noise disturbance. The community is not under any threat.
All Defence personnel participating in the training will comply with NSW Government COVID-19 guidance.
