Tamworth Fire and Rescue 448 Captain Carl Dunn said crews worked quickly to bring the blaze under control.
"When we got there the car was already engulfed in flames and crews worked quickly to extinguish the fire," Captain Dunn said.
"However, the car was totally destroyed."
Crews had little time to rest before they were called out to a second car fire in the early hours of Thursday morning.
Firefighters attended the scene in a paddock at the old Tamworth brickworks on Green Street around 6am.
Once again, crews found an abandoned car engulfed in flames and completely destroyed.
Captain Dunn said both areas were "hotspots for these types of incidents."
"These areas are 100 per cent a concern for us," he said.
"What's also a worry is the state of Locks Lane.
"It's all torn up from four-wheel-drive use and the condition of the road and the block made it very hard for us to get access."
Tamworth Regional Council's compliance manager Ross Briggs said the council had increased monitoring of the lane in an attempt to shut down anti-social behaviour.
"Unfortunately for some time, the land has been used for the illegal dumping of building waste, tyres, and general household waste as well as for off-road driving activities," Mr Briggs said.
"Our staff check on the area regularly and there is CCTV coverage. We have had some successes and will continue to do what we can to further reduce incidents."
Police were called to both scenes and are investigating both incidents.
