While nominations have "been very very good" interim chairman Terry Psarakis said and "enough to start", that hasn't yet translated into actual registrations.
But the Group remain confident of getting the competition off the ground and urged the players to get on and register through NSWRL.
"We're more than happy (with the general interest), we've just got to convert them into registering," Psarakis said.

"We are doing a ring around today (Wednesday) to make sure those people that have shown interest initially turn into registrations for us."
"There is still opening there for more people to register."
"Hopefully we can do that well before Friday, so the captains and sponsors have got a chance of picking their players."
He wasn't sure exactly why the interest wasn't showing in registrations, although it does seem there was a technical issue with the link on the Group's Facebook page to the NSWRL.

Friday's draft night will be held in the Ken Chillingworth Room at Wests.
Four 15-man squads will be selected by the four selected captains (Scott Blanch, Brenton Cochrane, Mitch Doring and Cody Tickle) and their managers and/or sponsors ahead of the October 3 kick-off.
