Matt Gavin Groth and Jack Cassidy face up to 20 years' imprisonment after they admitted to supplying drugs on an ongoing basis.

The pair fronted Gunnedah Local Court where they pleaded guilty to several charges after they were arrested in December 2019 in a secret police sting, code named Strike Force Numboidard.

In court, Groth had charges of supplying more than an indictable quantity of a prohibited drug; and supplying less than a small quantity of a drug referred to the district court on a Form 1 certificate, and will be taken into account in sentencing for the ongoing supply offence.

He was also convicted of a second or subsequent offence of driving while disqualified which will also be considered during sentencing.

Cassidy also pleaded guilty to one count of supplying more than an indictable quantity of drugs. Two related charge of possessing drugs will be dealt with at sentence.

Charges of indictable drug supply; possessing suspected stolen goods; supplying drugs on an ongoing basis were withdrawn for one matter; along with one count of participating in a criminal group.

Groth's other charges of participating in a criminal group; aggravated deposit litter; hunting in a state forest; and 11 counts of small drug supply were withdrawn by prosecutors.

Magistrate Peter Thompson committed the pair for sentence to the Tamworth District Court in October where a date will be fixed for judgement.

Mr Thompson also ordered Community Corrections officers to prepare a sentencing assessment report for both of the men into their backgrounds, offending and any community-based sentencing alternatives to full time imprisonment.

Groth and Cassidy remain on bail.

At the time of their arrests, a solicitor argued the group was nothing more than "a group of friends supplying to one another".

It had been the police case that Cassidy and Groth were the upper-level suppliers in the drug ring.

Strike Force Numboidard was launched in August 2019 by Oxley police and rural crime investigators, and backed by Gunnedah general duties officers.

The police had been trying to home in on those involved in the supply of methylamphetamine, cannabis and MDMA in Gunnedah and surrounding towns.

Another co-accused remains before the courts.
